Desi Boyz Photos

Less than a week remains for the release of DESI BOYZ and it is quite apparent that the film follows a different route when it comes to the comic quotient. For someone like Akshay who has been a part of loud humour in films like TEES MAAR KHAN and SINGH IS KINNG, one can well assume that bringing on subtle humour on the same lines as a WELCOME or a HOUSEFULL must have come naturally for him in DESI BOYZ.
''Natural? Well, yes in a way but that's also because it's a good script, it's honest humour, it's not nasty or painfully sarcastic, neither is it too dry for people to understand', reflects Akshay after a brief pause, 'This is not a GARAM MASALA or a MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGE; this is DESI BOYZ. It stands alone and will be remembered for its freshness, it's reasons and it's light-hearted power to move you.''

He also has a special word for Anupam Kher who hasn't been seen in the promos so far.

CHECK OUT: Akshay Kumar: John does laidback comedy

''Anupam Kher has brought a fabulous side of humour to the film as well, something to excite you even more', says Akshay, 'In fact I thinks he is brilliant in DESI BOYZ. Moreover, when it comes to me and John, then well love and laughter just rolls off us like water off a duck's back.''

Akshay doesn't forget to acknowledge Rohit Dhawan when it comes to bringing his own style of laughter on screen.

''Rohit is for sure the prodigy of his father Mr David Dawan but then he is absolutely a man of his own', says Akshay, 'He has completely different technique towards his actors, his script, his humour and his dialogue delivery. He has his own idea of how he wants things. I have got to give it to him, what a talented young man he is. His passion for real films is going to take him far and he is the next big thing in this industry by his own merit.''

With Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh as the leading ladies, DESI BOYZ releases all over on 25th November.
